Abilia AB ("Abilia", "we", "us" or "our") are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement applies to all information collected by or submitted to Abilia. This includes personal information, which is data that reasonably can be used to describe or identify an individual.

This Privacy Statement describes our privacy practices. It provides information about the basis on which any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be handled by us.

Please read the following to understand our views and practices regarding your personal information. We encourage you to check this Privacy Statement whenever you use our web sites and services. When changes are made to it, we will change the date above.

What information does Abilia collect?

Abilia may collect and process the following data:

How does Abilia use the information?

How does Abilia protect the information?

All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers operated by us or our third party providers, with whom we have entered into confidentiality agreements.

Where we have given you - or where you have chosen - a password which enables you to access our products or services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We request you not to share the password with anyone.

Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our websites. Any transmission of data is at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access.

How does Abilia use cookies?

Cookies are small amounts of information which are downloaded as a text file to your device when you visit a website. Among others, they facilitate navigation between pages, remember your preferences and improve the user experience.

Abilia websites use Google Analytics, which is a Category 2 Performance Cookie according to the ICC UK Cookie Guide. It is used to collect information about how visitors use our websites and if they get error messages. The cookie does not collect information that identifies a visitor. Collected information is aggregated and therefore anonymous.

What information does Abilia share?

Without consent, we will never share any personal information you provide to us.

How does Abilia communicate with you?

We may send you e-mail about your account, the products or services you have purchased, or in response to your questions.

If you have registered for receiving news from Abilia, we may send you e-mails with information or special offers about products and services that may be of interest to you. You may at any time opt out from this service by indicating that you do not want to receive them or send an e-mail to info@abilia.se.

For your protection, we may contact you in the event that we find an issue with a product or service you have purchased that requires your immediate attention.

How can you change or remove information?

You may change or remove your information, whether displayed or not displayed through our websites, at any time by going to your profile or account and editing your information. However, if you want to deactivate any account you may need to e-mail your request to info@abilia.se or contact the prescriber of the product or service you use. However, even after you deactivate your account, copies of your information including but not limited to the e-mail address may be retained by us as backup copies for compliance and legal reasons.

Where does Abilia store information?

Personal information may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may be processed by staff operating outside the EEA. Such staff may be engaged in product related services, marketing campaigns, support and hosting services on our behalf. We take reasonably necessary steps to ensure that your information is handled in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

What about forums maintained by Abilia?

Websites maintained by Abilia make forums available to users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas become available to other people using the forums. Exercise caution when deciding to disclose any kind of personal information.

Abilia reserves the right to take necessary action to maintain the integrity of any forums, which may include removing any posting that is vulgar or inappropriate.

What about children's online privacy?

Our websites do not knowingly request or collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. We do not collect any information about the age of users.

The following measures are taken to ensure compliance with Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Professionals that prescribe products and register children under 13 as users of our websites are required to obtain necessary consent from their guardians. 

Guardians have access to, can review, make changes to and remove information submitted by their children on the devices their children use. If applicable, the guardians can contact the prescribing professional to access and review the information, or make changes to or request removal of the information.

What about links to other websites?

Websites maintained by Abilia may link to websites maintained by other companies or organizations (so called 'third party websites'). This Privacy Statement does not apply to such third party websites as we do not control their information collection. Before using those websites, please ensure that you are satisfied with their privacy policies.
