Abilia has appointed Andreas Kvarnström as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He assumed the role on 1 September and also serves as CFO for the Assistive Tech business area within MedCap.

With experience from purpose-driven organizations, commercial companies, and the technology sector, Andreas brings a broad background that aligns well with Abilia’s and MedCap’s journey and ambition to strengthen their position in the market for innovative assistive technologies – with social impact and user focus at the core.

He joins from the Swedish Cancer Society, where he served as CFO, and succeeds Marcus Olsson, who has left Abilia for new opportunities outside the company.

“Andreas’ broad background gives him a unique perspective that will be invaluable in our continued development. His understanding of both business-driven growth and purpose-led organizations makes him the right person for us. We are very pleased to welcome him to the team,” says Tove Christiansson, CEO of Abilia and Head of the Assistive Tech business area within MedCap.

“I am inspired by Abilia’s clear purpose – to give people with disabilities greater opportunities for independence and participation. It feels meaningful to contribute my expertise to a company that combines social impact with innovation and growth,” says Andreas Kvarnström, incoming CFO of Abilia.
